The Palm Springs Art Museum presents traveling art exhibitions and pieces from their permanent collection.
The Palm Springs Art In Public Places program has funded a bronze statue of Lucille Ball sitting on a bus bench, a sculpture of two Agua Caliente Indian women in front of the new Spa Hotel and Casino and many other public art works around town, including 17 pieces in El Paseo in nearby Palm Desert, where a number of high-end art galleries can also be found.
The annual Palm Springs International Film Festival screens over 100 feature films and boasts increasing doses of Hollywood glamour. It's followed by the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, reported to be the largest event of its kind, showcasing short films, animation and videos.
